TACCA COMMITTEES Effective September 2019
The best work of any association comes when volunteers with a passion for their industry work together to make their chosen profession or trade better. With this in mind, TACCA has created and appointed members to five (5) committees to address areas within the association and HVAC industry.
Membership Committee Responsible for membership development, involvement, retention and management of membership benefits and benefit partners, including membership marketing campaigns, social media and website development.
Education/Training Committee Responsible for helping develop and promote education and training programs for TACCA and the greater HVAC/R industry across Texas. Programs will include but are not limited to the TACCA Continuing Education program, industry related training, and training for business/financial management, NATE (when applicable), technician and legal/HR. Committee will also work closely with TACCA local chapters to encourage cross training opportunities between that state and local areas.
Chapter Relations Committee Responsible for 1) developing and recognizing chapters as integral components of TACCA; 2) encouraging discussion, activities and programs that support the mutual interests of TACCA and its chapters; 3) providing a forum wherein chapters can share ideas and concerns of common interest and identify common needs and goals; 4) encouraging and maintaining a cooperative and supportive relationship among TACCA and its chapter affiliates across Texas; 5) formulating and reviewing requirements for chapter status.
Legislative Committee Committee will focus on the following: legislation tracking and analysis; Texas and national communications development such as letters and/or calls regarding important legislation and issues; education/advising for members, affiliates, staff or Texas legislators and state agencies on the value of the TACCA brand and our legislative priorities; work with TACCA staff on regular alerts on important industry issues that affect TACCA members; coordinate with other organizations, associations, and groups on legislative strategies and efforts as needed.
TACCAPAC (Political Action Committee) Committee Committee will work with Legislative Committee and TACCA Legislative Counsel to help set agenda for political contributions from the TACCAPAC. TACCAPAC will be an essential part of the TACCA legislative agenda and will be in support of candidates who support the broader HVAC/R industry, small business and sensible regulation. TACCAPAC will be funded through voluntary contributions from members and non-members.
