89th Legislative Session

On January 14, 2025, the Texas Legislature will convene and the 89th Legislative Session will begin. While the session doesn’t officially start until January, pre-filing of bills began this month. Over 1,500 bills have been filed thus far.

 

During the 2025 session, TACCA will be monitoring bills that have the potential to impact HVAC contractors and small businesses. There may be times when TACCA will need to act quickly to address an issue with potential legislation. In the past we have called on members to serve as subject matter experts, testify before a committee, or contact their representatives in the House or Senate.
