Thankfully, Texas dodged Hurricane Ida as it struck landfall in Louisiana on Sunday, August 29, and moved northeast across the country. In the wake of our near miss with Ida, and with the memory of past disasters in Texas like this past winter storm, the Bastrop fire, flash flooding, and Hurricanes Harvey, Ike, and Rita, disaster preparedness is critical for you as a business owner and individual. September is Disaster Preparedness month. Don’t wait for a crisis - be ready with plans that you, your staff, and your family can follow when time is of the essence and tension is high.
