The Texas Commission of Licensing and Regulation recently adopted the 2018 editions of the International Mechanical Code, International Fuel Gas Code and Uniform Mechanical Code effective January 1, 2021.

Watch this recorded Learn @ Lunch webinar hosted by Texas Air Conditioning Contractors Association and presented by Jason Vandever, Energy Code Program Manager for the South-central Partnership for Energy Efficiency as a Resource (SPEER) to learn what you need to know about the significant changes from 2015 to 2018 codes pertaining to all things HVAC/R.

Background: The Texas Commission of Licensing and Regulation adopted amendments to an existing rule at 16 Texas Administrative Code, Chapter 75, §75.110, regarding the Air Conditioning and Refrigeration Program. The adopted rule is necessary to align the program's applicable codes with currently recognized national standards and to provide clarity and consistency for the Department’s licensees. The adoption justification was published in the December 25, 2020, issue of the Texas Register (45 TexReg 9509). The updated rule chapter is made available as of its effective date of January 1, 2021.
